Shakespear Regional Park
Shakespear Regional Park is located on the scenic Whangaparaoa Peninsula, 40 minutes from Auckland City. The park offers a sanctuary with magnificent panoramic views. Birds from nearby Tiritiri Matangi Island sanctuary have migrated across to the regenerating native forest on Shakespear.


Walking path: Amy Bay carpark -> follow predator proof fence -> Heritage Trail -> Lookout Track ->  Tiritiri Track -> Te Haruhi Beach -> along the coastshore -> return back to the carpark


Amy Bay


predator proof fence - A 1.75 km predator proof fence across the peninsula’s neck, from Army Bay to Okoromai Bay. The aim is to connect Tiritiri Matangi with the mainland, to protect the increasing numbers of bellbirds, tui and kakariki that fly between island and park. 在 Maungatautari Ecological Reserve (near Waitomo) 有47km長這種fence 紐西蘭重視環保生態真環保典範.
